Edith Elkind is an Associate Professor in University of Oxford (UK). She obtained an MA from Moscow State University in 1998 and a PhD from Princeton in 2005. Before coming to Oxford, she was a postdoctoral fellow at University of Warwick (UK), University of Liverpool (UK), and Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel), and held faculty positions at University of Southampton (UK) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). Her research interests are in the areas of algorithmic game theory and computational social choice. She holds editorial positions at Journal of Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (JAAMAS), Journal of AI Research (JAIR), Artificial Intelligence Journal (AIJ), and ACM Transactions on Economics and Computation (TEAC); two of her papers with her PhD students received best student paper awards at the AAMAS conference. She will be a co-chair of AAMAS’15.
